BIOGRAPHY OF PROPHET MUHAMMAD (pbuh)

Prophet Muhammad (s) was born in 570 CE in Makkah (Bakka, Baca, Mecca). His father, Abdullah, died several weeks before his birth in Yathrib (Medinah) where he went to visit his father's maternal relatives. His mother died while on the return journey from Medinah at a place called ‘Abwa’ when he was six years old. He was raised by his paternal grandfather 'Abd al Muttalib (Shaybah) until the age of eight, and after his grandfather’s death by Abu Talib, his paternal uncle. 'Abd al Muttalib's mother, Salma, was a native of Medinah and he was born and raised as a young boy in Medinah before his uncle Muttalib brought him to Makkah to succeed him. Many years before Muhammad's birth, 'Abd al Muttalib had established himself as an influential leader of the Arab tribe ‘Quraish’ in Makkah and took care of the Holy sanctuary ‘Ka’bah’. Makkah was a city state well connected to the caravan routes to Syria and Egypt in the north and northwest and Yemen in the south. Muhammad was a descendant of Prophet Ismail through the lineage of his second son Kedar.

TRUTH STANDS CHILDREN'S WING

This Wing is created to train the future leaders of Islam on Islam and how to present it to the outside world as they grow up. This will hope our growing youth to be more conscious of Islam and thereby influence the people around them with the true teachings of Islam. It would also prevent them from being influenced by the misconceptions people have of Islam.

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Truth is a fact that has been verified.

Truth is a liberator of people from deceit, falsehood, hypocrisy and many other evils.

Allah subhaanahu wa ta aalaa tells us in the Qur’an Surah Al-Baqarah Chapter 2:42 that;

‘And mix not truth with falsehood, nor conceal the truth while you know the truth.’

So, we learn from the verse above that truth should never be mixed with even an iota of falsehood else it loses its essence being true. Allah also tells us in Surah Al-Israa, Chapter 17:81 that;

‘And say; ‘Truth has come and falsehood has vanished. Surely, falsehood is ever bound to vanish.’

From the verse above we realize that truth will forever reign even where falsehood prevails.

TRUTH STANDS LADIES’ WING

The purpose of the ladies’ Wing of the Truth Stands Research Foundation is to manage the religious affairs of Muslim ladies.

It seeks to make women understand that Islam is a liberator of women and so women must make it a point to study and understand Islam in detail. Women have to also understand the status of other women in other religions in order to comprehend and appreciate the status Islam gives them.
